Until now gamers have generally preferred desktop PCs over laptops. Since desktop PCs can hold full-sized graphics cards and are easy to upgrade, they have traditionally offered superior gaming performance with premium graphics.
Now the incredibly fast throughput of Thunderbolt™ 3 makes it possible to connect a plug ‘n’ play graphics card to a laptop and enjoy gaming at recommended or higher settings. This means that a gamer can enjoy the performance of a desktop PC and the portability of a laptop.
With a seemingly endless array of video content available to watch online, video streamers have to broadcast their content in the highest quality possible to stand out from the crowd. At minimum, a video streaming setup requires at least one video source such as an HD camera, a video encoder, and a high-speed Internet connection.

It combines entirely new technology with several features that once required many different ports. Thanks to its compatibility with USB-C, it can replace all of the most common ports. This means fewer cables to keep up with or clutter up a space.
Additionally, condensing standard USB, video, power, and networking ports into a single Thunderbolt™ 3 port can dramatically reduce the size of a PC’s motherboard, allowing for extremely thin and light PC devices.
